The gap between research on CNC cutting tools in China and foreign countries

In order to shorten and catch up with the advanced level of foreign countries as soon as possible, under the guidance and support of national policies, key technologies related to the development of tool industry technology will be selected for project research and development, which will be of great significance for enhancing the competitive strength and sustainable development ability of China's tool industry to adapt to the development needs of the national equipment manufacturing industry. With the support of the country and the efforts of industry enterprises themselves, it is entirely possible for China's tool industry to significantly accelerate the process of narrowing the gap with foreign advanced levels.

 

The main gap between China and foreign countries in the research, development, and manufacturing of CNC cutting technology and CNC cutting tools is reflected in the following three aspects:

 

(1) In terms of basic theory and technology of CNC cutting, especially micro quality control technology, metallographic structure analysis and quality control technology related to materials science, in-depth research on cutting mechanism and technology of new difficult to machine materials, etc.

 

(2) In terms of CNC tool manufacturing technology and equipment, especially in the stability of quality control in key manufacturing processes and processes, such as ultra-fine grain hard alloy matrix, coating process quality control, superhard tool edge strengthening technology, etc; Equipment: Development and research of CNC tool grinding machines, edge strengthening equipment, and coating equipment.

 

(3) In terms of application technology and experimental research of CNC cutting tools, we provide users with scientific, reliable, and practical information platforms for CNC cutting tools/indexable inserts and cutting parameters based on different industries and user needs, especially for the processing of new difficult to machine materials such as high-temperature alloys, titanium alloys, silicon aluminum alloys, composite materials, and other workpieces.

 

In terms of measuring instruments, the gap with foreign countries is even greater. In this survey, it is evident that there is a significant gap in the following three technical areas:
